Place Branding Australia 2021 has been rescheduled for later this year following the latest covid outbreak in Victoria.
The conference, featuring several Melbourne presenters, was due to take place in Hobart over June 16-18 after the 2020 event was scuttled by the pandemic.
The rescheduled event will take place at the original venue, Hotel Grand Chancellor, on October 13-15.
Event curator Stu Speirs says it’s disappointing the conference has been thwarted by covid for a second year running, but says Place Branding Australia will be back bigger and better than ever in October.
“With almost half of our speakers hailing from Victoria, along with a good chunk of our delegates, we’ve had no option but to postpone this year’s conference,” he said.
“But for a conference that is dedicating plenty of time to discussing identity and resilience, we are practicing what we preach by making a third attempt at staging the conference in Hobart later this year.
“With fingers crossed and arms inoculated, we reckon it’ll be third time lucky for us.”
