The New South Wales Department of Finance has announced that it will hold a special information session for suppliers outlining its new Information and Communications Technology Services Scheme to spell out the procurement overhaul.
The scheme opened for supplier applications at the end of January 2012 and comes as Finance Minister Greg Pearce attempts to rein in costs by opening-up government procurement to greater competitive tension.
The government has said that the scheme will go live on 1st March and replace the now junked “ICT Services Contract 2020.”
“Interested suppliers are invited to an information session on the new ICT Services Scheme, to be held on Friday 22 February 2013,” the Department of Finance said.
The sessions will cover NSW Government Procurement Reform Program, ICT Services Scheme objectives, supplier requirements and acceptance criteria.
