Special Announcement

The 7th Annual Australian Health and Productivity Management Congress (AHPM) will feature education for those in the government sector and provide the opportunity to learn more about a variety of issues facing employers in regards to workplace health and wellbeing.

On Monday 12th August at the AHPM Sydney Congress, Professor Chris Rissel will discuss the implementation of the Healthy Workers Program, a recent initiative by the Australian Government. The program will promote good health in workplaces and a Healthy Workers Quality Framework.

As the Director of the NSW Office of Preventative Health, Professor Rissel is an authority on the workplace screening program for chronic disease prevention, and will discuss the effectiveness of such programs.

On Wednesday 14th August at the AHPM Melbourne Congress, Pam Anders, Director of WorkSafe Victoria’s WorkHealth program, will share the key findings from research, which has evaluated the short, medium and long-term impacts of the WorkHealth program.

This research provides a detailed insight into the state of health among Victoria’s workers and the power of workplace-based health checks in raising health awareness. The research has also found a critical link between the role of leadership, and achieving lasting behavioural change within the workplace.

Presented by The Institute of Health & Productivity Management (IHPM) and The Health & Productivity Institute of Australia (HAPIA), the event will be held in both Sydney and Melbourne and feature a one-day Congress Program and Workshops. The HAPIA Awards will also be held in Sydney. These awards recognise organisations that have measurably improved their business competitiveness through the application of health and productivity management (HPM).
